WARNING: As mentioned before: This installer is going to reset the entire VS settings. To overcome the issue: Prior to installing go to Tools > Import and Export Settings and export all possible settings. After installation of Clone Detective and in the case that your settings are gone just re import your backed up settings. Even without its settings, Clone Detective seems to work

WARNING!!! WARNING!!! WARNING!!! As mentioned in other reviews, the installer does very bad things to your current VS installation. After installing today, it wiped out all my VS2008 settings, history, source control settings, window layout, etc, etc, etc. After this "refreshing" experience, I will be MUCH more careful about downloading from CodePlex.

As a few have mentioned before, the installer is sloppy. It hangs near the end only to succeed when you try and stop it. After, you will find most Visual Studio settings have been reset(!). Then, it didn't work until I did a follow-up Repair install. Now it appears to works fine. I initially installed the app after a clean reboot before any instances of VS were opened. I'm on Windows XP SP3.

Completely reset my VS installation. Project history. Gone. Source Control settings, Gone. NOT COOL! It reset my templates, my environment settings. Nice going. Oh, and it is completely useless in finding clones. The things it thinks are clones aren't even close.

Installation hangs at the point of registering with Visual Studio. No idea why. Could it be that having VS2005, VS2008 and VS2010 on my machine is causing a panic attack? Do the install after a clean boot, before you run VS and it will finish. Once installed, this is just SUPERB. My rating has gone from 2 stars to 3, to 5. Watch the video - it's the best way to get started.

This thing really works, I have a big application with lots of forms and issues with it, and with the tool I was able to show the actual cost of making changes to it, the only thing I suggest is to be able to export this (or some help on that) to create a kind of report of the existing clones.
