Suggestion: Analyzing only files which are being compiled

Just have tried Clone Detective. It's great! Thank you for very nice tool.
But the first thing which annoys me - CD analyze all files in solution folder. It would be nice if CD analyzes files taking into account their VS-project inclusion and build action.
I mean it's worth analyzing only files which are being compiled.

Hi EvilShrike, great to hear that you like the project.

Yes, you are right. Currently Clone Detective just uses all .cs files in your solution folder (excluding designer files). The next release will include direct built-in support for reading only files referenced by the solution file. However, you can accomplish this today as well by using a custom analysis file (download here). You can place this file everywhere, although I would recommend keeping it in folder under your solution (e.g. in a folder named Clone Detection). Then, you just have to configure Clone Detective to use your analysis file instead of the standard one (see screenshot). Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
